again.....

Of course we went camping AGAIN :) 

But, this time we actually went with friends!!!!! We went up to palasaides lake, with our lovely friends Chris and Paige and...

these lovely jet skis, and had a BLAST!!! We were on the lake all day saturday, it was pretty windy day which made for a day full of laughs! Ryan and Chris, of course, took the big fast one. Paige and I got stuck on the one actually made for 1 person! :) We rolled it way to many times, took way to long to get back on, and laughed way to much! :)

We only had one problem durning the whole weekend.....hubs locked the keys in the truck. Good thing we had the broken end of a hoe in the back of the truck to pry it open! It only took us about 45 min to shove a stick down there to push the unlock button! 

Im not even trying to brag when I say that my dutch oven cooking kicks butt!! Its taken a little practice but i can now officially cook every meal in the dutch ovens:) 

and of course this is what the guys did while we cooked.......nice!!!

* we played a mean game of phase ten while we were there, and had a little fun with the tripod! :)

a camping we went! :)

Ryan and I absolutely love the outdoors!! We love to hike, ride our horses, fish ( well he loves to fish i love to just hang) , go on drives in the mountains and camp!! There isn't a week that goes by that we don't at least do one of those things! We get so sick of working and living in the city that we just need a break!! Ryan had a big tournament at work and had to work friday till 1130 and all day saturday! At about 12 saturday he said "pack all the stuff up and when i get home we will go up and camp". YAY! :) 

We decided that we were going to find "our own" camping spot this time!! We drove around for about an hour and we finally found a spot that had no traffic and was perfect! :) It had never even been used! :)  Ryan recently got a new pocket knife and was anxious to use it so he decided to carve something in the tree to mark our spot!  We now have our own perfect camping spot!! 

Here we are just hanging by the lovely fire Ry built! Our cute little family! Me, Ry and our dog shadow! :) We had a little difficulty in building the fire because we forgot to bring any sort of paper! But we managed to get it going!! We are both suffering from a little smoke in our eyes in these photos! :) 

I guess you could say we are pretty happy! :) ok really really happy!!!!

Anyone who knows me knows i LOVE nilla waffers!!! They are the best things on planet earth! I bring them everywhere! So of course I brought them camping!! Ry must have been a little bored but we ended up trying to take a few pictures with them as glasses! :) oh we are funny! 

Saturday we went hiking and we packed the camera all the way with us but its a somewhat difficult to take a picture of us with the beautiful views by ourselves and our dog certainly couldn't!! We are so lucky to have each other and to go on such fun adventures together!

the 3rd of july!!

We decided that we would match this year! We are just cool like that! :) So we wore Dodgers attire! We opted out on the parade, because ryan wouldn't wake up. It almost didn't feel like the 4th (3rd) without going to the parade!! But we still managed to have a fun day together!! We went to a big family barbecue and the fireworks!!! Since our house is just about 7 blocks from the fireworks we walked! This proved to be a great idea!! We got there without having to try and find a parking spot ( cars were literally parked almost all the way to our house anyway) and we got home super quick after! :) We played cards with our friends from about 8 to 10 and then went and watched the fireworks with ry's family! 

Ry's family loves this holiday and we had the most PERFECT SPOT! We were literally directly across from where they launch them off! :) We were so close that the whole time we kept getting big chunks of the casings fall on us and debris from the actually powder or whatever they use to make them!! :) It was a blast!!

That is until a huge chunk of something landed STRAIGHT into my eye!!! It burned so so bad and I thought I would never be able to see again!! :) If you look really close in the picture my left eye has cryed all of its makeup off!!! OPPS! Regardless I still think fireworks are the coolest things EVER! :)
