happy birfday...

so this weekend was my boydude ryans birthday. yes i said boydude. that is our name for each other rather than saying boyfriend and girlfriend, its dude. i cant even remember what the conversation was that lead to the nickname but its managed to stick. anyways, so he turned 21. woot woot. my little sister was so cute she is 8 and so in love with ry. she spent all morning making writing letters on paper to spell out happy b-day ryan. she would't let anyone help her and was so proud of the sign when she was done!

since it was such a special occasion i decided to use my baking skills and make a cake ha ha yeah skills? i could be labled as the worlds worst baker in history. but i decided to give it a go. thankfully my mom helped me. it was actually quite funny for everyone to watch me pretend like i knew how to bake. after i put the pans in the oven my mom asked me if i had greased the pans..opps my bad...i totally lied and said ohhhh yeahhhh. this was my first mistake and somewhere in the next hour we ended up with this big green (it was supposed to be turqouise) mound. and ryan being the sweetheart that he is told me it was the best cake he'd ever seen :)

this is the finished product. yes it sucks and my baking self esteem is at an all time low but it tasted good and thats all that matters ok maybe not all but what matters most. and all the laughs along the way were worth it :)

he also managed to get a few gifts outta the day. my dad got him a bunch of hand tied flies to fly fish with out behind our house on the river. my little sister gathered a bunch of her personal belongings including some pony trading cards some quarters a gift card and who knows what else. my mom got him a book by johnbytheway ha her signature church book managed to be snuck in, it was actually a really good book about lds sports players! if you notice the zac effron card in the picture that was my card i got him. its a big inside joke but i once made him watch high school musical 3 with me against his will and he got a i love troy blanket from his step dad for easter and then this card for his birthday ha ha ha i love it.

last but not least......i got ry tickets to a mets dodgers game in nyc! he loves baseball and has been to lots of pro games but never to a mets game, and they just so happen to be his favorite! so i decided that i would get them for us! he was so excited and we are going on july 8th :) i cant wait! this will be my first big league game cuz i was never that into baseball until he taught me the rules and stuff now i actually enjoy it :)
